Garage Door Insulation

Size

Additional to roof insulation, polystyrene insulation backed onto your garage door can make a considerable difference in reducing the temperature in your garage. During the summer months in particular, metal garage doors can radiate large amounts of heat, making your garage heat up like an oven.

Foam Sales recommends our SL grade polystyrene sheet, which we cut to fit your garage door panels. Just measure up and give us the dimensions of each section. Generally, there will be 4 door sections running top to bottom, each with 4 panels of similar size. Panel widths across the door may vary, so be sure to measure the size of each section. A thickness of 40mm will be a good fit in many cases, though some doors require a thinner panel too.

When fitting the panels slide the polystyrene boards into / behind the existing flanges, or behind the bars on the back of standard panelled garage doors. Email or call with the cut sizes for your polystyrene panels or enter sizes in the comments box in your online order.

If glue is required, we recommend Soudal T-Rex to fix your polystyrene insulation to the garage door.

Shipping. Interstate freight cost to mainland capital cities for double garage door insulation is $50. Perth Metro $20.
