Foam Sales offers a structurally engineered, Australian made, insulated building panel system based around a range of lightweight Polystyrene Composite Wall Panels (also known as Sandwich Panels or SIPS panels). This panel system is suitable for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications. It is also increasingly being used in office, shop and showroom fit-outs, school classrooms and temporary or permanent dividing walls.
HOW IT WORKS
The panels come in two standard thicknesses - 150mm for external walls, and 86mm for internal walls. The system is engineered for two storey housing and has compliance for cyclone areas. It incorporates a unique panel connection system, and a range of panel types for use in different applications. All panels come with associated channel, tie-down rods, top plates and load-bearing beams where necessary.
BENEFITS OF BUILDING WITH SIPS
Energy Efficient: This system enables a high star rating with any style of house or building design. Polystyrene sandwiched in the centre of panels provides effective thermal insulation, making the building more comfortable and energy efficient. The panels are also termite resistant and fire rated.
Acoustic Insulation: The panels also absorb sound, offering a degree of privacy not generally associated with composite panels.
Faster Build Time: The simplicity of this system allows the panels to be erected by a single trade, from experienced builders to a competent DIY handyman/builder. Reducing the number of trades involved dramatically reduces build time.
Limited Waste & Mess: Depending upon your design, there will be little or no waste panel material left on site. All panels incorporate channels for electrical and plumbing services, thereby avoiding the hassle and mess associated with chasing of brick walls.
The Cost Effective Building Solution: Savings are incurred in material costs, site costs, interest and rental costs due to reduced build times, and in long term energy efficiencies.

We have a design service available to assist in incorporation of standard size panels and other features, such as placement and size of window and door openings that will further reduce your build costs. Once your design has been finalised, you can have your panels delivered within a matter of weeks. We have a recommended list of builders with experience in using this system or, if you prefer DIY, we offer a free 2 day training course that will provide your handyman or tradesman with fitting details and techniques.
Indicative square meter prices can be provided followed by our firm quotation based on your final design as agreed with us. Price is basic per square meter for external walls.
